NY HIA Hemp Education & Supply Chain Event
- Time(s): 8:00am - 10:00pm
- Location: Albany Capital Center
The New York Chapter of the Hemp Industries Association (NYHIA) and Native Network Consulting are proud to present a full day of world class hemp education with renowned experts and active building of the hemp supply chain, including guidance for Tribes! The promise of the versatile, valuable hemp plant began to take root with the passage of the 2014 Farm Bill and it is poised to deliver on that promise now that the 2018 Farm Bill has fully legalized hemp as an agricultural commodity in the United States. Hemp is here to serve all of humanity's needs, from human and animal nutrition, wellness, and skincare to paper, textiles, building materials, bioplastics, industrial sealants and coatings, energy, fuel and nanotechnology. Attendees will learn about the legal and regulatory landscape of hemp, generating healthy hemp crops, building the infrastructure to process and manufacture the thousands of products that can be made (and made better!) with hemp, and agricultural cooperatives. Tribes are uniquely positioned to succeed in the new hemp economy, and attendees will also learn about hemp as America's opportunity to work together to build a healthier nation and world. A delicious Farmer's Market Buffet Lunch will be provided, and after "Dinner on Our Own" at nearby eateries, the conference culminates in the evening with an NYHIA Member Meeting open to all attendees featuring Guest Expert Hemp CBD FArmer DAni Fontaine of Colorado Hemp Project on "Tips & Tricks of Farming Hemp for Extracts." Join us for this outstanding event!
